How to Get the Most Out of Your Vitamin Supplements

Vitamins are a great way for you to help fill the gaps in your diet and support the functions within your body. Each person is different, so you might need a different set of vitamins than another person. You will need to understand why fat matters, the role of water, and timing.

Why Fat Matters

The role of fat in vitamin absorption is very important, specifically as it relates to fat-soluble vitamins. These vitamins are absorbed in fat and then carried throughout the bloodstream. Fat-soluble vitamins aren’t needed every day. They don’t immediately leave the body and will be stored in the liver when they’re not being used. This can be dangerous if you have an excess of these vitamins. Make sure you are careful if you’re taking supplements, so you don't have too many. Fat-soluble vitamins can also help you avoid diseases.

The Role of Water

Drinking water is one of the most important things you can do for your health. Drinking water, your vitamins will help you to get the most out of the supplement. Water provides multiple benefits, including supporting gut health, which is where nutrient absorption occurs. There are even many vitamins that are water soluble. Water will help aid in your digestion and will help your vitamins to spread quickly throughout your system. It is highly unlikely that you will have an excess of water-soluble vitamins so they aren’t dangerous and will only help your diet.

Timing

When it comes to vitamins, timing is everything. A good thing to remember is to take your vitamins and minerals with food. If you take your vitamins with your meals, you will be able to remember to take them. Taking them with food will also help them flow through your system quicker. However, if you’re taking an herbal supplement, it’s best to take it without food. If you’re not sure if you are able to take your vitamin with food or if you should take it without food, you should talk to your doctor or consult the directions on the vitamin bottle.

The best way for you to get the most out of your vitamin supplements is to understand why fat matters, the role of water, and timing. This will help you to figure out which vitamins will help your body and which ones aren’t necessary for your diet.

So Far So Good

I like the formula; it replaced the B-Complex I had been taking, which contained inositol, an illegal substance on the SCD plan. I also like the inclusion of Vitamin C and Zinc, and the capsule form is safer than tablet forms I hope you will soon be providing other SCD compliant supplements.

Vitamin D3

Great product

Quintabs M with iron

It is excellent. It was first recommended to me by my opthomologist MANY years ago, because it contained Zinc and Vitamin E, which she said would retard the development of macular degeneration. which my late father had. So far, I have developed no symptoms of it, so the Quintabs must be working. And all the other vitamins it contains don't particularly hurt me, either. ,

Quintana w/o iron

I’ve been using these for years and am especially pleased with the capsules instead of hard tablet.

B Complex

The best, healthiest B Complex.
